The Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) and the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) have published a Handbook on Mediation Procedure, being this a UNDP project. The purpose of this handbook is to provide easier alternatives to cases and speed up the efficiency of the judicial system in Kosovo. The Kosovo Judicial Council and the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council are already implementing the Case Management Information System (CMIS) in justice institutions in order to improve efficiency, accountability and transparency. The Kosovo Judicial Council has recently reported that over 10,000 old criminal cases have been registered in the CMIS system at the Basic Court in Prishtina. A higher efficiency was noted during 2018 in the work of prosecutors.
